Data Annotator
Overview
In this role, you will label and verify complex mining data to support autonomous systems. You’ll work on 3D spatial labeling and sensor fusion using LiDAR, radar, and vehicle telemetry to underpin VLA models. You collaborate with the Autonomy & Robotics team to ensure precise annotations under challenging conditions and contribute to the reliability of heavy-machinery AI in extreme environments. This position offers the chance to shape ground-truth data for next-generation autonomous mining.
ResponsibilitiesMining Perception & Spatial Sensor Annotation: 3D bounding & segmentation across 2D video and 3D LiDAR/radar data for site entities and equipmentHeavy Equipment Trajectory Tracking: Map motion paths, orientations, and velocity vectors of heavy vehicles in constrained mining environmentsSensor Fusion Alignment: Align camera telemetry with vehicle sensors to maintain temporal and spatial consistencyVLA & Heavy Operational Behavior Mapping: Decompose workflows into granular actions and identify operator/machine intentChain of Causation Modeling: Annotate environmental triggers and causal relationships specific to mining conditionsOutcome Verification: Tag expected vs. actual site outcomesQA & Audit: Perform rigorous QA to ensure precision, provide feedback, and update labeling guidelines
