The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Therapeutic Apheresis Service and Transfusion Laboratory Service and will be involved in apheresis consults and overseeing apheresis procedures, transfusion medicine laboratory and clinical pathology clinical calls. Strong interpersonal and communicational skills are vital. CP or AP/CP and Blood Bank Transfusion Medicine board certifications are required.The candidate must be eligible for active, unrestricted Missouri and Kansas medical licenses. Academic appointment will be at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor (non-tenure-track) in the Department of Pathology at The University of Missouri Kansas City, commensurate with experience. The candidate is expected to contribute to educational and scholarly activities in the Department of Pathology based at Children's Mercy Hospital.
