Position Summary:
To provide support of Environmental, Health and Safety standards and programs across the Company
Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
OSHA training preferred
Experience:
Two years or more related experience and/or training
Work experience in a manufacturing environment
Technical Skills:
Valid drivers’ license required
Strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
Knowledge of Federal and State Laws pertaining to EH&S
Excellent interpersonal organization skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction and procedure manuals
Essential Physical Functions:
Ability to constantly communicate clearly and in a friendly professional manner
Ability to sit and/or stand for 8 hours
Ability to use hands, wrists and fingers to feel, handle or reach
Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Ability to climb or balance
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Ability to work in changing temperature zones
Outline of Responsibilities and Duties:
Represent Lee Aerospace, Inc. with professionalism, maintaining a positive attitude and following dress code, and perform duties by following the Company’s safety standards and wearing the proper safety equipment
Monitors and continuously improves LAI Environmental, Health and Safety Programs, ensuring compliance with Federal, state and local regulatory requirements
Monitors environmental compliance issues and provides assistance with workplace safety matters
Implements corrective/preventative actions and continuous improvement activities as directed
Maintains job hazard assessments by participating in processes and procedures and researching industry best practices and regulatory requirements
Oversees EHS site audits, inspections and routine surveys including the developing and drafting of audit documentation, tracking corrective actions, and monitoring trends in results of audit activities
Maintains EHS files and records
Assists in the development of technical documents including EHS procedures, programs, and guidance documents
Informs personnel regarding procedures for the purpose of providing necessary information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with health and safety regulations
Coordinates with others for the purpose of completing projects efficiently and effectively
Maintains, updates, and coordinates Companywide EHS training programs including setup
Reviews, investigates and evaluates all work-related accident reports for completeness and clarity of data; as needed, to ensure compliance with policy and regulatory requirements
