Our work involves building, maintaining, delivering, installing, and servicing temporary kitchen trailers and support equipment throughout the United States.Position SummaryKCI Temporary Kitchens is seeking a dependable, hands-on Commercial Facilities Technician to assist with the fabrication, repair, setup, teardown, and servicing of temporary commercial kitchen facilities.This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, traveling, and working in a fast-paced environment where every project is different.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesLayout, install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain temporary kitchen equipment and mobile facilitiesPerform fabrication and repair work using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipmentAssist with plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and equipment installation tasksRead and interpret blueprints, layouts, and work instructionsTravel to customer sites for installation, service calls, troubleshooting, and teardown of temporary kitchen facilitiesOperate forklifts and other material handling equipment safelyMaintain shop tools, equipment, warehouse, building, and groundsFollow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environmentWork independently while following management direction and project schedulesAssist with all other operational tasks as neededPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 poundsAbility to stand, kneel, crawl, bend, climb, and work in physically demanding environmentsAbility to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and coldAbility to travel for extended periods, including overnight and multi-week assignmentsQualificationsRequired:High school diploma or GEDExperience using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipmentMechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilityAbility to follow instructions and work safelyStrong work ethic and attention to detailGood physical conditionValid driver's licenseWillingness to travel extensivelyPreferred:Forklift certificationExperience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical repair, trailer repair, or fabricationExperience in commercial kitchen equipment installation/serviceAbility to read blueprints and technical drawingsWelding or metal fabrication experienceWhat We're Looking ForThe right candidate is:Reliable and punctualMechanically inclinedComfortable traveling for projectsAble to work both independently and as part of a teamComfortable in construction/shop environmentsSolution-oriented with a "get it done" attitudeCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay based on experienceOvertime opportunitiesTravel opportunitiesCareer growth opportunitiesHands-on work with a specialized national companyBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offCompany Description KCI Temporary Kitchens is a leading provider of temporary kitchen solutions serving companies and institutions across the country.
