C# Developer – Energy SystemsLocation: Downtown Atlanta, GA (Onsite 4 days/week) Contract Duration: 12-month contract | May 2026 – May 2027Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced C# Developer to support the design, development, and maintenance of software applications within the energy sector. This role focuses on systems that control, monitor, or analyze energy generation, distribution, and consumption, including renewable energy, utilities, energy trading, and smart grid technologies. The ideal candidate has experience working with high-volume, real-time data, distributed systems, and modern cloud environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and evolve backend applications using C# and .NET/.NET Core to support energy-related systemsBuild and maintain services that process and analyze high-frequency, time-series data from field devices, sensors, and platformsModernize legacy systems and optimize existing applications for performance, reliability, and securityTroubleshoot and resolve complex production issues in mission-critical environmentsCollaborate with engineering, operations, and data teams to translate business and operational requirements into scalable technical solutionsWrite and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure system stability, particularly for automated and critical infrastructureRequired Technical SkillsStrong experience with C# and .NET CoreProficiency with SQL Server, T-SQL, and ORMs such as Entity Framework or DapperExperience designing and consuming REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka)Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), including Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelinesFamiliarity with SCADA systems, industrial control protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN) is highly preferredQualifications3–6+ years of professional software development experience, ideally in high-volume, real-time, or industrial environmentsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently in a fast-paced, technically complex environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsIndustry Exposure (Nice to Have)Renewable energy systems (e.g., wind or solar operations software)Energy trading or real-time market data platformsUtility systems such as smart grid, metering, or distributed energy management solutions
