Job Title: Network Engineer with AviatrixLocation: Remote (US - San Francisco, CA)Long Term Contract - W2 / C2CJob SummaryClient's Network Engineering team is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer with expertise in Aviatrix, automation (Terraform), and multi-cloud networking. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, and Oracle Cloud networking, as well as traditional routing/switching, network security, and automation tools. In this role, you will architect, build, automate, and manage Rubrik's Global Network Infrastructure. You'll collaborate with a talented team on cutting-edge projects within TechOps Infrastructure, delivering an optimized, scalable, and secure global network.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and support hybrid network infrastructure across on-premises and multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle).Ensure network stability, performance, and availability for enterprise and cloud environments.Manage and support routing, switching, and network security technologies.Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues; perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.Automate network operations using Python, Ansible, and Terraform.Actively participate in on-call rotation for timely support and resolution of network issues.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient network solutions. Mandatory SkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.7+ years of network engineering experience, with expertise in network architecture and design.Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP); cloud certification is preferred.Proficiency in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP/MBGP), VPN, IPv4/IPv6, VxLAN, and L2/L3 networking.Strong knowledge of routing & switching (Cisco IOS, NX-OS, Meraki, Nexus, Mellanox, Cumulus).Experience with network security technologies: Palo Alto and Fortinet Firewalls, 802.1x, VPN technologies.Hands-on expertise with Aviatrix for multi-cloud networking.Strong automation skills with Python, Ansible, Terraform.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Preferred SkillsExperience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).Public Cloud Network Certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP).Strong understanding of data center, campus, and global WAN connectivity.
