Bethesda, MD. – 7272 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD. 20814Job Summary:We are seeking a Network-Centric Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in enterprise networking and cloud infrastructure to support large-scale cloud transformation and modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of network engineering along with hands-on experience in cloud platforms, automation, security, and hybrid infrastructure environments.Key Responsibilities:Design, implement, and support cloud networking solutions across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.Manage enterprise network infrastructure including routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, and DNS.Support hybrid cloud connectivity between on-premises data centers and cloud platforms.Configure and troubleshoot cloud-native networking services including VPCs, VNets, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, and security groups.Collaborate with Cloud, Security, Infrastructure, and DevOps teams on architecture and deployment strategies.Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation solutions using Terraform, Ansible, or Python.Monitor network performance, availability, and security across cloud and enterprise environments.Support network segmentation, zero-trust initiatives, and cloud security best practices.Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and production support activities.Maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.Required Skills:Strong background in Network Engineering and Cloud Infrastructure.Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP networking services.Experience with enterprise routing and switching technologies.Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, and firewall technologies.Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, Juniper, or similar platforms.Proficiency in automation and scripting using Python, Terraform, or Ansible.Experience with cloud connectivity solutions such as Direct Connect or ExpressRoute.Familiarity with Linux systems and network troubleshooting tools.Knowledge of network security principles and cloud security best practices.Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with SD-WAN, Kubernetes networking, or containerized environments.Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Network Engineer, or Google Cloud certifications preferred.Cisco CCNP/CCIE or equivalent networking certifications preferred.Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
