Casey's is searching for a Transportation Administrative Assistant to join our Grocery Transportation team in Joplin, MO! As a Transportation Administrative Assistant, you will perform a variety of complex and confidential administrative duties, as well as provide assistance and support to designated team members, including additional project work as required. Hours for this position are 8:30am-5:00pm Monday - Friday.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Provide administrative support including but not limited to telephone coverage, uniform programs, route updates, store correspondence, paper and electronic logs and files
Address challenges and opportunities with drivers over the phone and in person cultivating a professional and helpful environment.
Monitor and maintain DOT files with confidentiality, tact and diplomacy
Track expenses and invoices, reconcile budgets and accruals.
Assist with special projects, research, and presentations as needed.

Requirements:
Associates degree preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
At least two years of experience providing administrative support within an office environment.
Basic knowledge of accounting theory.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation background preferred.
Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and adapt to various competing demands.
Ability to be confident in decision making and problem solving.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with individuals at all levels, inside and outside the organization in a professional and polite manner.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
Some lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.
