Delivering these ambitions will not be possible without the help, support and action of every single member of our team.Job OverviewWe are looking for a Band 3 Scheduling Officer to join our SACT scheduling team in Cumbria.The role will be an office based admin position dealing with telephone queries from patients undergoing cancer treatment, scheduling in appointments for systemic anti-cancer therapies (SACT) and be part of the wider MDT involved in the patient pathway. The role is fast paced, requiring strict attention to detail and ability to multi task.The ideal candidate should have excellent computing skills, communication skills and able to liaise with patients. A key feature of the post will be to act as the link between the patients, oncology wards, consultants, planning department chemotherapy outpatients, treatment machines and medical records in co-ordinating the treatment plan for each patient ensuring department, chemotherapy outpatients, treatment machines and medical records in coordinating the treatment plan for each patient ensuring cancer targets are not breached.To be part of a team responsible for ensuring waiting time targets are met, using analytical, judgement, influencing and persuasion skills within the multi-disciplinary team environment.To allocate appropriate appointment slots for each stage of the treatment process, liaising with relevant staff as necessary.To maintain awareness of service delivery developments and contribute to the implementation of change within the service.To participate in all aspects of the administration service within Chemotherapy as required.
