Job DescriptionTitleProduction SupervisorDepartmentProductionReports ToVP, Production & OperationsSupervisesProduction EmployeesClassificationExempt/SalariedOverviewThe Production Supervisor acts as the first level of management over the production workshop and assists the VP of Production & Operations with the efficient operation of the facility.ResponsibilitiesAssist in presiding over production work. Implement workshop rules, regulations and work standards. Maintain close contact with other departments to strengthen collaboration. Assist with organizing, modifying, monitoring, and implementing production equipment, safety requirements, production statistics, etc. Assist in completing annual, quarterly, monthly, and daily production plan status reports. Assist with special work projects (safety, management, labor, environmental, etc)Assist with collection of production statistics, paying special attention to management of original production records, ledgers, and statements, and workshop asset inventory. Manage personnel schedule in order to scientifically balance production capacity, arrange operation time, reduce costs, and increase efficiency,Assist with organizing the training of production employees, team leaders, and supervisors. Assist with and provide input for performance appraisals. Assist with inspection and planning of 6S in the workshop to ensure the improvement of overall KPI indicators, control the quality status of the production process, and ensure the quality of shipments. Complete any other tasks as assigned by management. Required Education/ExperienceBachelor’s degree from a 4-year university. Fluency in English. Fluency in Chinese/Mandarin is required. CompetenciesAcceptable level of proficiency in communication to collaborate effectively with coworkers. Capacity to quickly learn required skills, such as basic office equipment and selected company software programs. Ability to comprehend and interpret complex figures and text. Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse clientele. Ability to work independently without supervision. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Must be a team player.
