Loader Operator - Menzer Quarry

Job DescriptionSchmidt Construction part of the Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Loader Operator to work at our Menzer Quarry location in Colorado Springs, CO. Operates loader for the purpose of loading and unloading trucks, load bins and hopper with raw materials and stockpiling materials.Pay: $25-28Shift/Schedule: Day Shift with Occasional WeekendsBenefitsCompetitive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Prescription, 401(K) with 3% Employer Contribution, Long- and Short-term DisabilityTuition Reimbursement for qualified skilled trade programsStudent Loan Repayment ProgramEmployee Referral ProgramResponsibilitiesThe Loader Operator will:Performs daily machine inspection and routine greasing, oiling, and fuelingMonitors any change in machine performance to identify potential malfunctionsReports any equipment or plant malfunctionsMaintains cleanliness of equipmentAssists maintenance personnel with repairsMaintains level work area to allow easy movement and accessLoads trucks with correct material while eliminating contaminationComplies with weight limits when loading trucksEnsures that trucks are loaded with the appropriate productsMaintains bucket levels when transporting material to keep machine balanced and to prevent spillageMaintain stockpiles of raw materials and finished productMeeting customer service expectationsComplying with all safety regulations and policiesOperates various mobile equipment as necessaryPerforms other duties as assigned by supervisor SkillsThe ideal candidate will have:Two years’ experience running a loaderKnowledge of materialsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to sit, stand or walk for an extended period of timeOccasional pushing, pulling and/or pryingWork outside for an extended period of timeAble to detect differences between sounds that vary in pitch and loudnessWorks in environment with noise and temperature variationsValid Driver's LicenseTo ApplyPlease submit your resume.
