Job Description Job SummaryThe Warehouse Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and organize products within a warehouse or distribution center. This role helps ensure efficient shipping, receiving, and inventory processes.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials throughout the warehouseLoad and unload trucks, trailers, and containers safelyTransport products to storage areas, production lines, or shipping docksStack, organize, and store materials in designated locationsInspect and maintain equipment before use and report any issuesFollow all OSHA safety guidelines and company proceduresAssist with inventory tasks such as counting, labeling, and tracking materialsKeep work areas clean and organized to maintain a safe environmentForklift operators typically handle material movement, loading/unloading, equipment inspections, and safety compliance to keep warehouse operations running efficiently [skima.ai], [interviewguy.com]Qualifications & RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED (preferred)Minimum 1 year forklift experience (for most roles)Ability to safely operate sit-down or stand-up forkliftsStrong attention to detail and safety awarenessAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feetBasic math and reading skills for inventory trackingForklift certification (preferred or required depending on employer)Working ConditionsWarehouse or distribution center environmentStanding, walking, bending, lifting throughout shiftMay involve working around heavy machinery and moving equipment
