Art Director

**Hybrid- Chicago, IL**Duration: 8+ month contract Location: Chicago, IL Onsite 2-3 days a week Rate: $28-$32 hourly W2Our industry-leading client is looking for an Art Director to develop a wide range of customer communications, including clear instructions, informative updates, and engaging content, ensuring they are visually engaging and aligned with brand objectives for both digital and print channels. This person will have strong proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator). Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.Responsibilities:Design and deliver a wide range of customer-facing communications—including instructional materials, updates, and engaging content—ensuring visual clarity, brand alignment, and effectiveness across digital and print channels. Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners such as copywriters, strategists, and marketing teams to develop and execute integrated campaigns that support business objectives and customer needs. Translate complex information into clear, accessible visual solutions that enhance customer understanding and confidence across all mediums. Adapt quickly to evolving priorities, timelines, and feedback, applying creative problem-solving skills while working within established templates, systems, and brand frameworks. Take ownership of assigned projects by managing timelines, navigating internal processes, and proactively identifying solutions, with increasing autonomy over time. Apply brand guidelines consistently by demonstrating a strong understanding of visual identity, design standards, and messaging principles, making informed decisions when balancing inputs from multiple stakeholders. Leverage prior experience and customer-focused judgment to make thoughtful design decisions that prioritize clarity, usability, and effectiveness. Produce high-quality work with strong attention to detail while meeting deadlines and maintaining design excellence. Actively seek out, receive, and incorporate feedback to continuously improve the quality and impact of deliverables. Clearly present and articulate design concepts, decisions, and rationale to stakeholders.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience and a strong portfolio; or military experience.At least 4 years of experience developing creative for digital and traditional marketing channelsAt least 2 years’ of experience designing for web, mobile, and social platformsExpert proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)Basic understanding of UX principlesBasic understanding of print production and printer specificationsJN -032026-105915Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate.
