Senior Java Developer

Software EngineerDesign, develop, test, deploy, monitor, maintain, and continuously improve software. Translate product concepts into project commitments that deliver incremental value to our customers frequently and with high quality. Mentor the engineering team through code reviews, and hands on design sessions.Required Qualifications:7+ years of coding experience with one or more of the following languages: Java, C#, C/C++, Go, Python or JavaScript with a willingness and ability to learn new ones. Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals: unit testing, code reviews, telemetry, agile and DevOps. Experience working with three or more of the following: continuous integration / continuous delivery tools, REST API development, serverless architecture, containerization, IaC, public / private cloud, application observability and/or messaging / stream architecture. Experience with polyglot storage architectures including relational, columnar, key-value, graph or the like. Experience delivering applications using componentized and distributed architectures. Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical, globally-distributed audiences. Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in Unix/Linux environments. Experience delivering reusable components, patterns, tools. Solid understanding of formal architecture, design patterns and best practices. Experience in the health care industry.Required Skills:React, Java Springboot, Terraform - IAAC (flexible on this if they have good full-stack skills) Azure/AWS - Azure preferred - Infra is built out here - Just deploying apps. Kubernetes, MySQL (flexible here) NoSQL is a plus. Apache Pulsar - Nice to have - Similar to Kafka.Operates as a full-stack team. 50/50 front end vs back end work. Looking for front end, back end and infrastructure. Open to someone stronger in the front end or back-end (30/70 ish). Communication skills and attitude are very important. Looking for passion for technology. Good team player. Curious. Proactive. Not much external customer interaction. Most interaction will be internal.
