Title : Sourcing Specialist 1 Location : Houston, TX 77073, USA Duration : 12 Months Shift : 1 time Pay : $40.00/HourJob Description:Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) in OracleReview and validate Purchase Requisitions (PORs) before PO creationConfirm supplier setup and availability in OracleNavigate Oracle system to:Check PO historyReview inventory and supply/demand data (view-only)Provide accurate status updates to plannersSupport production meetings by preparing PO and part status reports (primarily in Excel)Manage Blanket Purchase Orders (BPOs):Work regularly with ~5 key suppliers (out of ~9 total)Handle releases, expediting, and payment follow-upsSupport farm-out and repair activities:Coordinate with ~20 suppliers over short production cyclesCommunicate with suppliers via email and Microsoft Teams to:Request quotes (RFQs)Expedite materialsClarify requirementsMaintain documentation for audit compliance, including PO attachmentsQualifications:Experience working with Oracle (or similar ERP systems) for PO processingStrong understanding of procurement processes (POs, PORs, BPOs)Ability to navigate multiple system screens and extract relevant dataProficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and trackingStrong communication skills for supplier coordination (email and virtual meetings)Experience managing multiple suppliers and handling expediting activitiesAttention to detail for validating requisitions and maintaining documentationAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with short supplier cyclesBasic understanding of inventory, supply/demand concepts (view-only level acceptable)
