The role will manage a team of Sales professionals that sell products for various manufacturers or distributors to business establishmentsThis position works closely with and builds strong relationships with customers, partners, and cross functional teams. As a member of the sales leadership team, the incumbent is expected to manage their book of business and make effective decisions that support sustainable growth.Develop self and others – assign and accept challenging assignments to expand professional knowledge and capabilities of self and othersEmbody personal leadership qualities that are in line with our cultural 10 Principles to drive behavior and language that promotes respect and accountabilityEnsure Sales team makes consistent sales calls on assigned accountsReviews performance of the Sales team as it relates to overall sales goalsSurvey new potential account and existing account on a regular basisDevelop strong customer and vendor relationshipsAbility to partner and work cross functional with internal support teamsAnalyze changes in the market conditions as they apply to territoryDevelop broad product knowledge to assist customer with product applicationDevelop annual budget and manage overall department P&LExcellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skillsDefine problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusionsWhat You Will BringElectrical, Industrial and/or distribution experience preferred but not requiredBachelor's degree (B.A or B.S.) from a 4-year college or University10+ years' in managing professionals, preferably in Sales Management; orEquivalent combination of education and experience.Proven track record of directing, developing and managing peopleDrive continual improvement through ongoing training and mentoringPossess the attitude of wanting to learn, teach and leadAbility to establish strong working relationships with co-workers and other leadersStrong planning, execution, and analytical skillsAbility to identify and communicate customer financial problems to Upper ManagementExcellent Communication and Presentation SkillsMust possess excellent customer service skillsAbility to travel locally and nationally when requiredMaintain confidentiality of proprietary business informationLocation: This role is based in Sacramento, CAWork hours: 8:00am – 5:00pmSalary RangeThis is an exempt position that pays $196,000 - $211,966 annually. This salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, within California.
