Network Security Engineer | Remote

Position: Network Security EngineerType: Hourly contractCompensation: Competitive hourly payLocation: RemoteCommitment: 10 40 hours/weekRole ResponsibilitiesManage and secure network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and IPS systems.Monitor, analyze, and respond to network security incidents and threats.Implement cloud and endpoint security controls across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.Lead incident response processes including investigation, containment, and remediation.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enforce security standards and best practices.Mentor team members and promote security awareness across the organization.Ensure compliance with security frameworks, policies, and industry regulations. RequirementsStrong expertise in network security management and firewall configuration.Experience with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform security environments.Deep understanding of encryption, SSL, VPNs, cryptography, and network segmentation.Hands-on experience in incident response and security event analysis.Knowledge of compliance standards and security policy implementation.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly preferred.
