Data Annotator (Remote) – EN_AU | JA_JP | PT_BR | AI Projects Job Type: Contract (6+ Months)Location: Remote – Anywhere in the United StatesPay: $13.00–$15.00/hour (1099 Contractor) About the Role We are looking for detail-oriented language speakers to join our AI Data Annotation team. In this role, you will review, evaluate, and annotate text to help improve the quality, accuracy, and performance of conversational AI systems. Current Language Openings Australian English (EN_AU) Japanese (JA_JP) Brazilian Portuguese (PT_BR) Language & Residency Requirements Candidates must meet the specific language and residency requirements for the language they are applying for: EN_AU – Australian English: Native-level fluency in Australian English. Candidates must have lived in Australia for at least 5 years and must currently reside in the United States. JA_JP – Japanese: Native-level fluency in Japanese. Candidates must have lived in Japan for at least 5 years and must currently reside in the United States. PT_BR – Brazilian Portuguese: Native-level fluency in Brazilian Portuguese. Candidates must have lived in Brazil for at least 5 years and must currently reside in the United States. Paid training will be provided. Responsibilities Review and annotate text according to detailed project guidelines. Evaluate AI-generated responses for quality, accuracy, grammar, relevance, and natural language usage. Maintain consistency and high-quality annotations. Follow project instructions and quality standards. Complete assigned work within project deadlines. Work independently in a remote environment. Provide accurate language and cultural feedback based on the applicable language requirements. Required Qualifications Native-level fluency in the applicable language. Must have lived in the applicable country for at least 5 years. Must currently reside in the United States. Excellent grammar, spelling, and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to understand and follow detailed guidelines. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Personal laptop or desktop computer. Reliable high-speed internet connection. Ability to work as an independent 1099 contractor. Preferred Qualifications Experience in data annotation, content writing, editing, proofreading, or technical writing. Familiarity with AI, chatbots, or language-quality evaluation. Experience reviewing or evaluating written content. Knowledge of retail or e-commerce content is a plus. What We Offer Fully remote work from anywhere in the United States. $13.00–$15.00/hour on a 1099 contractor basis.
