Job DescriptionPosition Title: SOC TechnicianLocation: Petersburg, VAPosition Status: 5-month contract to permanentSchedule 1 HIRE =Week 1 – Sun - Tues 6:00AM-6:30PM Week 2 – Sun - Wed 6:00AM-6:30PM 1 HIRE:Week 1 – Wed - Sat 6:00AM-6:30PM Week 2 – Thurs - Sat 6:00AM-6:30PMOur client is seeking SOC Technicians to join our Service Operations Center (SOC) in Petersburg, Virginia.ResponsibilitiesAnswer incoming service/technician callsManage service tickets and follow ups with customersCommunicate with customers verbally and via emailReview, compile, and analyze dataUnderstand Elite customer contractsIdentify and request materials for service techniciansComplete processes for bill of materials, invoicing, and quality checksProvide initial troubleshooting support related to software, desktops, servers, network devices, and security and CCTV camera systemsPerform other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Troubleshooting skills and ability to fully resolve issuesStrong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectivelyAbility to multitask and manage requests with short turnaround timesHave used a major ticketing system to manage support incidentsHelpdesk experience supporting customers or employees in an IT roleExperience working with vendors and help lines resolving issuesOne or more industry recognized certifications or equivalent formal training/educationBasic remote troubleshooting, monitoring, and diagnostic toolsBasic computer, hardware, and software supportPhysical RequirementsMust be able to sit for prolonged periods of timeMust be able to stand, walk, and bendAdditional Requirements:Must possess and maintain a satisfactory background recordATTENTION: Beware of recruitment fraud!
