Senior Accounting Analyst

SUMMARY: The Senior Accounting Analyst is responsible for complex accounting activities, reconciliations, and financial analysis supporting accurate financial reporting and operational decision‐making. This role plays a key part in maintaining general ledger integrity, overseeing reconciliations, supporting compliance requirements, and partnering cross‐functionally to improve accounting processes. The position requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast‐paced environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepare, review, and post journal entries for routine recurring and non-recurring transactions.Perform detailed general ledger account reconciliations and variance analysis.Support month‐end and year‐end close activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to deadlines.Assist with audit requests by preparing schedules and supporting data and/or documentation.Review and reconcile corporate credit card activity, ensuring expenses are accurately reported and compliant with company policies.Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.Document procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives.Assist with implementation and transition to ERP system Epicor.Manage fixed asset software system and amortization processes.Calculate, review, and process sales commission reports in accordance with established commission plans.Analyze commission trends and investigate discrepancies, working closely with Sales and Finance leadership.Coordinate banking activities, including account maintenance, cash movements, and communication with financial institutions.Manage and maintain ownership of sales tax accounting and compliance across multiple states.Monitor changes in tax requirements and support implementation of process updates as needed.QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Required experience and skills:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.4-8 years of progressive accounting experience.Exposure to multi‐state sales tax accounting is highly preferred.Strong experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and journal entries.Experience supporting sales commissions, inventory accounting, and fixed assets is preferred.Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems preferred. Epicor is a strong asset.Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.Sound judgment and understanding of accounting controls.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.High level attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Requires sitting for periods of time and occasional mobility.WORK ENVIRONMENT:Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
