Full-Time YouTube Editor for Corey FunkAbout the RoleCorey Funk is seeking a full-time YouTube Editor to join the team and play a key role in the growth of the channel. This is not just an editing role, but an opportunity to be deeply involved in the full content process from concept to final delivery.We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes YouTube, understands what performs, and can contribute both creatively and operationally to the team.Key ResponsibilitiesEdit 1 long-form YouTube video per week, optimized for retention, pacing, and storytellingSupport with short-form content (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts)Plan video structure and flow to maximize engagement and watch timeBrainstorming or assist with voiceovers, hooks, and transitions within videosCollaborate on creative direction, including concepts, intros, and storytelling anglesStay on top of YouTube trends, pacing styles, and audience behaviorProvide input on how to improve content performance over timeAssist with general team support across content and creative needsHelp with content organization, file management, and workflow efficiencyProactively identify opportunities to improve editing style, storytelling, and overall channel performanceWhat We’re Looking ForStrong experience editing high-retention YouTube contentAbility to structure videos and build engaging story flowsExperience writing voiceovers, hooks, or narrative transitionsDeep understanding of YouTube culture and what captures attentionStrong instincts for Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiencesAbility to balance long-form storytelling with short-form attention strategiesComfortable receiving feedback and being coached into a specific editing styleExperience with short-form platforms (TikTok, Reels, Shorts)Highly adaptable, proactive, and willing to jump in wherever needed(Preferred) Familiarity with the automotive / car YouTube spaceSelf starter Familiar with Corey’s content and up to date on his nicheRole DetailsPosition: Full-timeLocation: Remote with optional in personStart Date: Based on candidate availabilityCompensation: Competitive salary, based on experienceTrial Period: 30-day paid trial period to ensure mutual fitApplication RequirementsPlease include:Portfolio with long-form YouTube editsExamples of short-form contentAny examples of voiceover writing or structured video storytellingBrief note on your understanding of YouTube and content performanceAvailability to startAdditional NotesThis role is ideal for someone who is not just an editor, but someone who wants to help shape and build a high-performing YouTube channel.
