Academic Personnel Analyst

Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training Demonstrated current experience working with at least 3 years in an academic personnel environment, including interpreting and explaining academic personnel policies, procedures, and processes to support academic actions.Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software required to perform the responsibilities of the position.Current experience with academic advancement actions and new appointments, as well as providing executive and administrative support.Experience coordinating large volume of work, managing detailed projects with conflicting priorities and competing deadlines.Demonstrated experience with internal systems to effectively carry out the duties for the position.Thorough knowledge of and ability to apply and interpret organization and university policies and procedures which govern academic affairs. Ability to analyze complex management issues, develop project scope and solutions, give professional advice to leadership and make critical decisions regarding academic personnel.Ability to establish goals and workload priorities.Excellent critical and innovative thinking skills to make decisions, develop recommendations and formulate corrective actions based on understanding of policies and guidelines.Excellent ability to draft summaries, proposals, correspondence, and other communications, with a thorough command of English grammar and strong editing skills in grammar, spelling, and punctuation.Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, to understand and appropriately respond to multiple and frequent inquiries, requests and instructions in a courteous, cooperative and professional manner.Tact, diplomacy and flexibility to effectively deal with faculty, staff, and others.
