CNC Operator

FLSA Classification: Hourly Full-Time Reports to: Plant Manager Revision Date: September 11, 2024 Job Summary: The CNC Operator will operate CNC machinery and tooling as well as use precision measurement tools. The CNC Operator will also build & assemble transformers by performing a combination of winding and assembling of various magnetic components according to specifications. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Responsibilities Prepare and operate CNC Okuma machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc. Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines. Test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications. Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct functions. Machine set up to complete full cycles and fabricate large numbers of parts. Supervise the CNC machine while executing tasks and make necessary adjustments. Inspect and measure finished products and compare with requirements. Daily checks and pre-maintenance procedures. Will use multiple hand and power tools therefore have good dexterity. Understand specifications of the task at hand and desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc. Follow samples to complete various duties or winding magnetic components. Given the complex nature of the products, they will be significant hands-on training and interaction with various Marco Magnetics Team members to be able to produce quality products. Qualifications 2 years’ assembly experience in the electronics industry or a manufacturing environment. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining preferred Ability to read and understand assembly drawings, instructions and production lists and wire run lists required; the ability to read schematics a plus. Must be able to read a ruler (inch/metric) Ability to install various through hole and mechanical assembly of parts to printed circuit board. Must be able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) in English. Good hand soldering skills of electronic components preferred. Familiarity with the practice of safe work skills in a manufacturing environment. Compensation The salary for this position ranges from $17 to $20.00 per hour, with time and a half for overtime (40+ hours).
