Database Developer
Overview
You will help shape cloud-based data platforms by designing, migrating, and optimizing database solutions for large datasets. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data to applications, analytics, and downstream consumers. The role emphasizes hands-on cloud databases, Python data engineering, and practical architectural input to scale data movement and processing. ResponsibilitiesLead cloud-based database workload migrations, focusing on DynamoDB and DocumentDBDesign, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for high-volume datasetsDevelop Python-based solutions for database operations, automation, and distributed data movementCreate and optimize database structures for NoSQL and in-memory platforms (Redis, AI/vector use cases)Partner with engineering to define practical database architecture decisions for cloud implementationsSupport search and retrieval capabilities with Solr and related data access technologiesImplement scripting and automation (shell) to streamline deployment and operationsEvaluate and integrate technologies such as ElastiCache, MemoryDB, MongoDB, and vector databases
