All our facilities have people steeped in a corporate culture that promotes engineering excellent amid a friendly and enjoyable workplace.General Summary:ES3 offers a full-time position for a highly experienced individual with documented professional knowledge of military fighter aircraft structural issues, including Maintenance, Repair, and overhaul (MRO), inspection techniques, specialized tooling, and technologies to determine and extend the service life of aging aircraft.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide expertise and oversight for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aerospace structures for ES3's commercial, Foreign Military, and government customersAbility to disposition Requests for Engineering Support on safety of flight componentsLead a team of aircraft technicians to perform needed MRO operations in ES3's facility and in our customer's facilities as neededDesign, build, and validate new tools and fixtures to improve the MRO operationsDevelop inspection plans, technical orders, and process orders for MRO activitiesWork as a team with a group of Professional Engineers, Equipment Specialists, and Technicians at ES3's Layton facilities and customer facilities, focused on F-16 airframe structural MRO capabilitiesInterface with customers to identify requirements and ensure our MRO activities meet customer requirements.Assist with the preparation of bids and proposals to ES3 customers for new structural MRO workload.Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required:Engineering and MRO capabilities for F-16 and other military aircraftExtensive experience in F-16 structural analysis and repair designDeep knowledge and understanding of F-16 configurations and retrofit programs, legacy and currentExperience in aircraft damage evaluation and crash damage assessments including determination of repairability and cost to repairExperience in FEA and damage tolerance analysisExperience in designing new inspection techniques for aging aircraftGood written, oral, person-to-person, and person-to-group communication skillsAbility to motivate a team of engineers and technicians working on challenging problems with tight schedulesEducation & Experience Required:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering school10 or more years of experience in military and/or commercial industry performing R&D and implementing technologies and strategy solutionsAdditional Requirements:Candidate must be a US CitizenMust have ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card as registered by the employerTravel Requirements:Ability to travel domestic and internationally as necessary and when requiredBenefits:ES3 is able to offer an environment that is both enriching and rewarding.
