Our yachts cater to the needs of serious anglers and enthusiasts who demand the best in marine engineering.Job Description: As a Manufacturing Engineer at Yellowfin Yachts LLC., you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency, quality, and safety of our manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, design, and quality assurance to drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimize our manufacturing operations. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks aimed at enhancing production processes, minimizing waste, and maximizing output while adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshooting issues, and implementing corrective actions to ensure smooth operations.Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new boat designs and facilitate seamless transition to production.Develop work instructions, bill of materials (BOMs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and manufacturing guidelines to maintain consistency and quality in production processes.Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.Work closely with other facilities in Miami, FL and Merida, MX to create alignment between processes and procedures.Develop and implement innovative solutions to streamline production workflows and minimize cycle times.Utilize lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and optimize resource utilization.Implement quality control measures to ensure adherence to specifications and standards throughout the manufacturing process.Conduct root cause analysis for non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.Work closely with the quality assurance team to develop and maintain quality management systems.Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to evaluate suppliers and vendors, ensuring the quality and reliability of raw materials and components.Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance product quality and reduce lead times.Champion safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate hazards in the manufacturing environment.Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and ABYC regulatory changes.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in manufacturing engineering. Extra consideration for experience in composites and or the Marine Industry.Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and production technologies.Proficiency in CAD software, PLM, and familiarity with ERP systems.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to apply engineering principles to resolve complex challenges.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams.Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma) is desirable.Understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards applicable to boat manufacturing.Equal Opportunity Employer:
