Senior Media Manager

Must be eligible to work in the USA and located in one of the following states: TN, GA, AL, FL, NC, SC, NV, NH, TX, MN, VA, IL Johnson Group is seeking a Senior Media Manager to lead the strategy, execution, and performance of full-funnel media campaigns across primarily digital channels , with exposure to broader media opportunities as needed. In this role, you will own media planning and performance for a portfolio of high-profile clients—developing strategies across paid search, social, programmatic, and emerging channels. You will balance hands‑on campaign management with strategic leadership, working closely with internal teams and clients to drive measurable business outcomes. This is a highly visible role that requires a data‑driven, strategic thinker who thrives in a fast‑paced, performance‑oriented environment and is excited to help grow both client success and agency capability. Responsibilities Partner with Channel Leads and media strategists to build strategies that are aligned with client goals and target audiences Build and optimize full-funnel media plans , balancing brand awareness and performance objectives Determine channel mix, budget allocation, and forecasting to maximize ROI across platforms Partner with strategy, analytics, and creative teams to ensure cohesive campaign execution Campaign Execution & Optimization Oversee and assist with execution and performance across: Paid Search (Google, Microsoft) Programmatic & Display CTV/OTT platforms Become an expert on our automation platforms: work with vendors to create new account templates, execute mass changes, and troubleshoot/QA during major updates Continuously optimize campaigns using data-driven insights to improve CPA, ROAS, and overall performance Lead testing strategies including A/B testing, incrementality testing, and conversion optimization Ensure proper tracking, tagging, and attribution frameworks are in place and manage all client billing communications internally with accounting. Lead reconciliation of monthly billing across all platforms, budget documentation and flow updates for true-up. Build and maintain relationships with media vendors, platforms, and partners Evaluate and test new and emerging channels to drive performance improvements Collaborate with partners to identify opportunities for efficiency and scale Analytics & Performance Define and track KPIs across channels , ensuring alignment with client business goals Analyze performance and deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations Support or contribute to advanced measurement approaches , including attribution considerations Present monthly (and as-needed) performance reports to clients, translating data into clear narratives Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior team members Delegate effectively, manage workloads, and ensure high-quality output across the team Collaborate closely with Account Executives and Directors to align on client strategy and communication Contribute to internal process improvements and best practices Serve as a key point of contact for clients on media strategy and performance Lead client meetings and presentations with confidence and clarity Build strong, trusted relationships through proactive communication and results‑driven thinking Requirements 5–8+ years of agency experience in paid media and campaign management Google Ads (all campaign types), Microsoft Ads Demonstrated success improving CPA, ROAS, and overall campaign performance Advanced knowledge of tracking, attribution, and analytics tools Experience with conversion rate optimization and funnel analysis Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into strategy Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and/or Meta certifications preferred Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Preferred / Bonus Experience Experience planning or buying traditional media channels (TV, radio, OOH, print) Familiarity with CTV, streaming audio (Spotify, Pandora), and retail media networks Experience in CPG, retail, healthcare, education, or transportation industries Experience with campaign management platforms (and campaign analysis media mix modeling (MMM) or advanced attribution methods GCM, Google Tag Manager and pixel implementation experience Experience with DSPs and emerging ad platforms Background in lead generation or performance-driven campaigns at scale What’s In It for You Hybrid work environment (Chattanooga, TN) or remote flexibility Fun, collaborative team environment Wellness stipend Summer Fridays 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance for employees and family 401k with company match PTO, sick days, and paid holidays Paid maternity and paternity leave Company-wide events (lake day, retreats, and more) #J-18808-Ljbffr
