Pharmacy Technician

Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician who will primarily work in the mixing room, compounding medication to ensure nurses can administer treatments to patients efficiently. This role involves taking inventory of medications and supplies, placing orders, and compounding chemotherapy, iron, and pre-medications, typically handling 20-30 bags per day.Responsibilities+ Compound medication in the mixing room 90% of the time upon receiving orders.+ Take and manage inventory of medications and supplies.+ Place orders for necessary medication and supplies.+ Compound chemotherapy, iron, and pre-medications, handling 20-30 bags daily.Essential Skills+ 1-2 years of mixing experience, with a minimum of one year.+ Experience in pharmacy, IV compounding, and mixing.+ Ability to read and interpret medical orders.+ Strong punctuality and ability to work independently.+ Must hold a valid pharmacy technician license.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Oncology experience is preferred.+ Experience with iron mixing, biologics handling, and drug dilution.+ Experience compounding 20-30 bags per day is ideal.Work EnvironmentWork in a collaborative environment with a team of 5-7 nurses and technicians at a leading cancer treatment center. The position is at a smaller location, allowing for immediate feedback and opportunities for growth within the organization. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The candidate must be comfortable operating as the only pharmacy technician on site.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Old Bridge, NJ.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $29.00 - $31.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
