Tax Manager About the OpportunityJoin a large, globally integrated manufacturing organization with complex international operations and supply chains. This role offers the opportunity to lead critical aspects of the company's tax function, including global compliance, tax provision, transfer pricing, and strategic planning.The Tax Manager will play a key leadership role in overseeing domestic and international tax matters, partnering closely with finance and business leadership to manage risk and optimize the company's global tax position.This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional seeking broad ownership, technical depth, and exposure to cross-border operations and strategic decision-making.Key Responsibilities Compliance & ReportingOversee preparation and filing of U.S. federal, state, and international tax returns, including income tax, franchise tax, and indirect taxes (VAT/GST)Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provisions under ASC 740 / IAS 12Ensure accuracy and completeness of tax accounting and reporting Tax Strategy & PlanningDevelop and implement tax strategies to optimize effective tax rate (ETR) and manage global cash taxesLead global transfer pricing strategy, including documentation, modeling, and intercompany agreementsSupport tax planning related to capital investments, restructuring, and cross-border transactions Transfer Pricing & International TaxOversee and defend transfer pricing policies across global operations involving tangible goods and servicesEnsure compliance with OECD guidelines and global documentation requirementsSupport intercompany transaction structuring and analysis Risk Management & AuditsManage tax audits and examinations with domestic and international tax authoritiesCoordinate responses and defense strategies with internal stakeholders and external advisorsMonitor global tax law changes (e.g., BEPS, Pillar Two) and assess impacts on the organization Leadership & Continuous ImprovementProvide guidance and oversight to junior team members and/or direct reportsEstablish performance expectations and support team developmentDrive process improvements within the tax function to increase efficiency and reduce riskPartner cross-functionally with finance leadership and business stakeholders QualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of progressive tax experience in a corporate, manufacturing, or public accounting environment (Big 4 preferred)Strong expertise in ASC 740 (tax provision) and transfer pricingExperience with U.S. federal/state and international tax matters Preferred:CPA and/or Master's in TaxationExperience supporting multinational operations Technical Skills & CompetenciesDeep knowledge of U.S. and international tax laws (including GILTI, Subpart F, foreign tax credits)Familiarity with global tax reform initiatives (BEPS, Pillar Two)Advanced tax modeling and analytical capabilitiesExperience with tax software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and Excel Leadership & CommunicationStrong ability to communicate complex tax concepts to non-technical stakeholdersProven experience managing audits and defending tax positionsEffective cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder managementAbility to lead initiatives and influence decisions across the organization Why This RoleBroad ownership of global tax operations and strategyExposure to complex international manufacturing and supply chain structuresHigh visibility with senior finance leadershipOpportunity to lead transfer pricing and global tax initiativesStable, large-scale organization with global reach The SR Group (UK) Limited is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
