Desktop Support Specialist

Job Description:Insight Global is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for a local client responsible for providing technical assistance to end users, maintaining desktop systems, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations.Responsibilities:· Provide Tier 1 technical support for desktops, laptops and mobile devices· Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner· Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows) and standard business applications· Manage user accounts, permissions, and access in Active Directory and related systems· Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including equipment setup and account provisioning· Document issues, resolutions, and processes in the ticketing system(ServiceDesk)· Collaborate with other team members to escalate and resolve complex issues· Perform routine maintenance, updates, and system checksAssist with IT projects such as system upgrades, deployments, and migrationsRequired Skills & ExperienceQualifications:· 1-2 years of experience in desktop support or a similar IT role· Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems· Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and basic networking concepts· Familiarity with ticketing systems(ServiceDesk preferred)· Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and customer service abilities
