ATE Hardware & Thermal Support TechnicianLocation: Santa Clara, CAShift: Graveyard Shift (9:00 PM PST – 5:00 AM PST)Education: AS/BS in Electrical or Mechanical EngineeringExperience: Entry-Level Candidates WelcomeWe are seeking an ATE Hardware & Thermal Support Technician to support hands-on setup, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting activities for ATE test floor hardware and thermal systems.This role is ideal for candidates from Mechanical or Electrical Engineering backgrounds who enjoy working with hardware systems, thermal equipment, diagnostics, and lab/test floor environments.Key Responsibilities:System Setup & Thermal Integration• Setup and configure TCORE, SeaCobra, Eflux, Winway, and Chroma thermal units• Perform water/air line routing and GUI configuration• Prepare thermal interfaces using Indium sheets and thermal grease• Support cold-temperature testing environments (-40°C to 5°C)• Assist with Load Board (LB) changes, ULFF setups, and device swapsHardware Debugging & Repair• Troubleshoot thermal alarms, pump failures, cooling leaks, and sensor issues• Inspect and repair sockets using microscopes and ball maps• Perform pin replacements and continuity troubleshooting• Conduct Short/Open/Continuity/TDR verification testing on Load Boards• Perform PAD cleaning and Kapton taping as neededMechanical Calibration & Maintenance• Calibrate Plunger Force settings• Adjust air pressure (PSI) according to approved standards• Ensure proper contact and hardware stability during testingDocumentation & Reporting• Conduct daily walkthroughs of all test stations• Verify thermal systems, water sensors, and ionizer fans are functioning properly• Maintain walkthrough Excel reports and shift documentation• Report hardware failures and thermal incidents for root cause analysisPreferred Skills:✔ Mechanical troubleshooting✔ Electrical hardware diagnostics✔ Thermal systems understanding✔ ATE/Test floor exposure✔ Load board and socket handling✔ Strong attention to detail✔ Hands-on lab/testing experienceImportant Notes:• This is a hands-on hardware support role• Candidates must be comfortable working night/graveyard shifts• Experience with thermal systems or semiconductor test environments is a plus
