POSITION OPENINGSpeech - Language PathologistMorris County Special Education CooperativeQualifications:Certificate of Clinical Competence PreferredMaster's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.Valid Texas license as a speech-language pathologist granted by the SBESLPAorBachelor's Degree and Valid Texas Teacher Certificate/ Speech Language Therapy Certificate/Valid Speech Language Pathology Assistant's licenseSpecial Knowledge and Skills:Assess, diagnose, treat, and help prevent disorders related to speech, language, cognitive- communication, and fluency in school-aged children (ages 3-21), which adversely affect theireducational performance.Develop an Individualized plan of care (IEP) tailored to each student's needs.Select augmentative or communication methods, teach their use to students, and educated teachers and parents on the device's functioning for individuals with little to no speech capability.Must comply with policies established by federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules, and board policy.Application Procedures:Those persons wishing to apply should submit an application and résumé.
