This role oversees product certification prior to shipment and leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of laboratory practices to ensure accurate, consistent, and compliant testing across all stages of production.What You’ll AccomplishEnsure all cement products meet internal, customer, and regulatory specifications, including proper documentation and certification prior to shipment.Lead the Quality Management System in alignment with Corporate and Plant Quality Manuals, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.Oversee testing, analysis, and reporting across all production stages, including raw materials, raw mix, clinker, fuel, and finished cement.Manage laboratory operations, including staffing, training, and development of personnel involved in sampling and testing.Maintain accuracy, calibration, and reliability of all quality control and laboratory equipment.Partner with production, maintenance, and technical teams to drive continuous improvement in processes, materials, and product quality.Design raw mixes and evaluate alternative raw materials based on chemical and physical properties.Identify, document, and resolve quality issues, including managing nonconforming products and implementing corrective actions.Investigate and resolve customer concerns and complaints while maintaining strong cross-functional relationships.Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.What We’re Looking ForEducation: Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.Field of Study Preferred: Cement Technology, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Ceramics, Metallurgy, or related fieldRequired Work Experience: 5–10 years of experience in a cement, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment with quality or laboratory leadership responsibilitiesTravel Requirements: Minimal travel as needed for training or business supportAdditional RequirementsStrong knowledge of cement manufacturing processes and quality standardsExperience with Quality Management Systems and laboratory operationsAbility to analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and drive process improvementsStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsSuccessful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
