Overview As a Data Modeling and DW/BI specialist, you will design and govern enterprise data models to support business solutions. You will collaborate with BI teams, data architects, and developers to ensure accurate, scalable data structures and metadata management. You will validate models, enforce naming standards, and publish documentation, enabling data-driven decision making. This role offers impact through shaping data architecture and governance in a banking/financial context. ResponsibilitiesInteract with stakeholders to elicit functional and technical requirements and document them for the teamDevelop, validate, and publish logical data models and maintain physical data modelsEvaluate existing data models and physical databases for variances and discrepanciesManage metadata for data models and develop comprehensive documentationCollaborate with Business Analysts, Data Architects, Software Developers, and DBAs to meet project objectivesEngage in data quality and data governance processesEnforce data naming conventions to ensure consistency and reuse of modelsValidate business use cases for accuracy and completeness of data modelsCommunicate data modeling strategies and architecture to cross-functional groups and senior levels Key requirementsBachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent; 2+ years of DW/BI experience; 1+ years of data modeling tool experience; understanding of data modeling principlesExperience with Teradata, Netezza or Oracle; Unix environment; performance tuning in DW; PL/SQL; modeling using Dimensional and ER models; knowledge of Erwin; reporting/ETL tools; banking/financial domain knowledge3+ years of relevant experience in data warehousing and BI environmentsStrong communication skillsCross-functional collaborationAttention to detailTeradata, Netezza, OracleUnixErwin
