Collaborates closely with the Center’s directors, operations manager and program managers to support ongoing Center and project communications, public and stakeholder relations, and content development. Demonstrates commitment to conducting business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures, and regulations. This position is established in support of expanded research activities.Job Related Minimum Required Education And ExperienceRequires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.Preferred QualificationsRequired Certification, Licensure/Other CredentialsMaster’s degree and 1 year related program experience or a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years related experience.Previous experience in communications, marketing, and public relations and knowledge of communication and marketing principals.Prefer writing and content development experience. Development, implementation, evaluation and yearly review of center-wide communication plan to coordinate internal and external communication. Supports Center and program-specific goals with development of tailored communication materials and content, through use of appropriate software and tools. Supports disseminating program-specific results through appropriate communication channels, media outlets, and social media. Reports progress on efforts to the Director.Essential Function YesPercentage of Time 35Job DutyCoordinates Center marketing efforts and content development. Responsible for helping gather information, coordinating contractors supporting writing, graphic design, and video/photography. Creating branded materials, assisting with email marketing and other communication tactics including print, electronic marketing and social media. Supports content development for publication, including but not limited to social media, center publications, and annual report. Updates the center website.
