The CT Technologist performs computerized tomography procedures including those of an invasive nature. The machine used is a 64-slice CT scanner. The CT Technologist positions and instructs the patient and operates various specialized equipment. They determine the technical factors for exposure and ensure correct marking and labeling of all images. The CT Technologist must consistently provide safe, quality patient care. They are also required to take call duties as needed. Moderate to heavy physical effort is required for this role. Proper body mechanics must be applied to safely transport patients and equipment. Ability to demonstrate flexibility and stamina is essential. This position demands good manual dexterity to operate sensitive equipment.
