The Distribution Center Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading and directing daily workflow for a team of 23 warehouse employees to ensure operational goals are consistently met and exceeded. This role oversees day-to-day warehouse activities, monitors performance, and provides coaching and support to drive productivity, accuracy, and safety.
The supervisor also partners closely with the Operations Manager to support overall leadership of the department, contributing initiative, sound decision-making, and a strong continuous-improvement mindset to enhance processes and operational efficiency.
Job ResponsibilitiesAssists with coordination of processes and assignments for the distribution area to ensure the delivery of consistent work products.
Executes daily activities and operational plans for the distribution area's strategies to enhance the culture of excellence and innovation across the enterprise.
Manages day-to-day operations in a warehouse section to ensure daily targets are met or exceeded.
Conducts performance appraisals using various reports, summaries, and procedures as necessary to resolve problems and improve employee efficiency and warehouse operations.
Analyzes reports and provides recommendations to the operations manager on best practices for the section.
Coordinates processes and assignments for areas within the warehouse to achieve a balanced workload and meet daily operational metrics.
Defines terms for conducting tasks and establishes new priorities for assignments to meet operational success.
Manages team performance through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional services and engagement, motivation, and team development.
Required Qualifications35 years of experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment.
Preferred QualificationsWorking knowledge of collaboration and teamwork
Working knowledge of execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills
Working knowledge of business intelligence
Working knowledge of problem solving and decision making skills
Adept at growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills
EducationHigh School Diploma or GED
Anticipated Weekly Hours: 40
Time Type: Full time
Pay Range: $43,888.00 - $85,068.00
