Job Description Job Opportunity: Associate Director of AnesthesiologyOur organization is thrilled to announce an opening for the position of Associate Director within the Department of Anesthesiology. This role offers a dynamic environment for a dedicated professional.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive anesthetic clinical care.Serve as the clinical coordinator and oversee operating room activities for a minimum of three days each week.Participate in overnight on-call duties, including night shifts, exceeding three times per month.Demonstrate proficiency in procedures such as arterial line and central line placements, TAP blocks, and other necessary peripheral nerve blocks.Assist the Director in managing all service aspects and supervising staff.Act as the Acting Director in the absence of the Director.Engage in clinical quality operations and explore opportunities for program development and growth.Requirements and QualificationsM.D. or D.O. degree.Completion of ACGME accredited residency training in Anesthesiology.Board certification by the ABA or in the process of obtaining certification.Possession of a valid New York State License, DEA, and Medicaid number.Strong clinical skills along with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Experience within public health systems is preferred.Working ConditionsThe facility is conveniently located and accessible via public transportation and personal vehicles from various locations across New York City, New Jersey, and Long Island.Benefits and OpportunitiesWe offer a faculty appointment with the affiliated medical school, which will be aligned with your credentials, experience, and qualifications.
