This role will sit in Indianapolis, IN or Cleveland or Columbus, OH and will lead Indiana, Ohio, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, and Kentucky. This position has profit loss responsibility for a $40M+ revenue HVAC Service Business. It is responsible for growing the market share of the Carrier Commercial Services business in this focused area through new business development working in conjunction with the sales organization. Products and services include Repair Service, Maintenance Contracts, and Modernization Projects. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, including a detailed understanding of the technical sales process and operations management./ph3Key Responsibilities/h3ulliMaintain culture of safety and continuous improvement/liliLead Operations team in execution of sales commitments and work orders/liliPartner with sales organization to develop and execute strategic plan to drive accelerated market growth in assigned area based on revenue and EBIT plans for the area/liliAccountable for technician productivity, order completion, connecting digital assets and customer retention/liliMaintain client relationships based on professional credibility and product knowledge/liliIdentify and participate in industry organizations, trade shows, and events to promote the company, products, and services./liliCollaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with customer needs and expectations/liliForecast, monitor, and document financial performance against plan/liliEnsure customer satisfaction by on-time performance and delivery to customer commitments/liliResponsible for operational sales targets/liliResponsible for ensuring Daily Management Board meetings are happening for all markets within their area (in either one or multiple meetings). The Area Manager is a required attendee for these meetings/liliMonitor all core KPIs outlined in Daily Management Board cadence and assign actions to improve if any of the KPIs are below the target specified in the DMB/liliPartner with leadership and discuss performance on Daily Management Board KPIs and actions to improve on any underperforming KPIs. Area Managers should proactively come prepared to discuss these items via the action card/liliResponsible for ensuring Schedule and Optimization guidelines best practices are followed/li/ulh3Required Qualifications/h3ulliBachelors degree OR a High School Diploma/GED with 7 years of HVAC Operations Leadership/lili8+ years of sales, operations or leadership experience/li/ulh3Preferred Qualifications/h3ulli5+ years of experience in HVAC operations leadership/liliStrong experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and SAP/liliCustomer-centric mindset/liliProactive and able to balance multiple priorities/liliAble to build strong relationships across industries and functions/liliExcellent communicator – oral, written, etc./liliUnderstanding of financial and accounting principles/liliStrong service operations background/liliIntimate knowledge of HVAC and/or building technologies industry/liliAbility to manage within a large matrixed organization/li/ulh3Pay Range/h3pThe annual salary for this position is between $117,500.00 - $234,500.00 annually.
