The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to support software integration, system validation, feature development, and issue resolution across embedded infotainment platforms.The ideal candidate will have experience with automotive embedded systems, infotainment features, vehicle communication protocols, system validation, and software integration activities.Key Responsibilities:Support development and integration of IVI software and infotainment system featuresCollaborate with architecture, software, hardware, validation, and vehicle integration teamsAnalyze system requirements and support feature implementation activitiesPerform system integration, testing, debugging, and issue resolution for infotainment platformsSupport connectivity features including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB, smartphone integration, and multimedia applicationsWork with CAN, Ethernet, LIN, and automotive communication protocols for diagnostics and system interactionsSupport root cause analysis and resolution of software and vehicle integration issuesParticipate in system validation, regression testing, and release readiness activitiesCreate and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and issue tracking recordsCollaborate with suppliers and internal teams to support feature integration and software releasesSupport Agile development processes including sprint planning, backlog reviews, and defect trackingContribute to continuous improvement initiatives for infotainment system quality and reliabilityRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field4+ years of experience in automotive embedded systems or infotainment engineeringExperience with IVI systems, embedded software integration, or connected vehicle technologiesKnowledge of Android Automotive, Linux, QNX, or automotive embedded platformsExperience with CAN, Ethernet, LIN, Bluetooth, USB, and automotive communication protocolsUnderstanding of software integration, system validation, and debugging methodologiesExperience with automotive diagnostic tools, log analysis, and issue tracking systemsFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologiesStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience working with automotive OEM or Tier-1 suppliersExposure to Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, navigation, telematics, or multimedia systemsKnowledge of automotive cybersecurity and secure software practicesExperience with scripting languages such as Python or shell scriptingFamiliarity with CI/CD, Jira, Git, and software release management processesSkills: Strong written and verbal communication.ALTEN Technology is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
