Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician

The Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at Albany Medical College, within the Albany Med Health System, is actively recruiting a Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician to join the team. The division at the Bernard & Millie Duker Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center is a multidisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers, psychologists, speech therapists and master’s level clinicians serving patients from our catchment area of 25 counties surrounding the Capital District of New York.Functions of our team include:Diagnostic assessments and medical management of patients up to 21 years of age with the broad range of developmental concerns including:Autism Spectrum DisorderDevelopmental delaysADHDLearning disordersBehavioral health disorders including anxietyNeonatal follow upPartnering with pediatric practitioners including psychiatry, general pediatrics, neurology and geneticsRecent practice innovations include a Medical Home for children with ASD, the development of a feeding team and a “fast track” developmental screening for children under age 5.Successful candidates should possess:Board certification or board eligibility in Developmental and Behavioral PediatricsInterest in developing innovative programming within the scope of DB practiceExperience or interest in teaching house staff and medical studentsStrong dedication to providing high-quality, patient centered care across diverse populationsCompetitive salary range for Assistant Professor commensurate with experience: $190,000-$198,000.
