Responsibilities: Leads and champions the overall engagement and "safety culture" in the Plant.Acts as in-plant voice for EHS related issues, concentrating on at risk behaviors and conditions throughout the facilityVerifies compliance with EHS standards, through auditing, observations and inspectionsReviews written procedures to verify accuracy; lockout, & SOP'sLeads Safety CommitteeParticipates in accident investigations and follow up on corrective actions identified through completionTracks the following programs and identifies deficiencies; training database, roll-out compliance, and safety inspectionsFiles EHS & Safety documentation according to both company and legal guidelinesConducts new-hire safety orientationCreates new programs and initiatives to increase overall safety awareness and engagement for plant employees.Coordinates waste handling including emergency response proceduresImplements recycling initiativesMaintains current inventory of safety data sheets for all materials on-siteLeads and plans monthly "Safety Kaizens" to address areas of opportunities and safety concerns.
