Provides a wide range of complex technical, document processing and administrative services in the assigned practice group/department(s).The successful candidate will effectively manage all aspects of the professional responsibilities of the assigned attorneys. This role also requires extensive coordination with clients. Flexibility to work overtime as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinates creation of legal documents as well as the editing, proofreading and processing of legal documents upon request of assigned attorneys, including correspondence, memoranda, closing documents, pleadings, or other practice specific documentsMaintains legal files (both paper & electronic), organizes and files documents in designated orderUpdates case information, scans and organizes legal filesManages document deliveries and tracks final executed documentationReceives and evaluates telephone calls for supported attorneys, fielding calls and conveying messages as necessary. Communicates with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and liaisonsCollaborates and works with Administrative Support Coordinators, Paralegals and other legal support team members where applicableAttends team strategy meetingsUnderstands firm available resources and leverage most effective resource for desired resultsAssists with overflow work and other special projects as assignedQualificationsSkills & CompetenciesSkilled in handling administrative tasks such as attorney time entry, travel arrangements and processing invoices and expensesHigh attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectivelyExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), professional demeanor and presentationAbility to collaborate well in a teamRecognize confidential, sensitive, and proprietary information and maintain such information as confidentialPosition also required the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlinesEducation & Prior ExperienceBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is preferred3 years of experience within a law firm or other professional organizationExperience with e-filing Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to move from work station or desk, throughout the work area to work independently or with a team, to meet with colleagues or supervisor and retrieve work assignmentsThis position may also be sedentary and require the employee to sit for extended periods of timeRequires manual dexterity to dial a telephone, enter data into a computer, handle objects and operate toolsSome filing is required and this would entail the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessaryTechnologyComputer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, as well as document management and other office technologiesKnowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures or agency rules of assigned practice group/dept. (ex.
