Junior ForemanThe Junior Foreman position is an entry into the leadership roles at Rock Spring Contracting. Junior Foreman will assist the Foreman in running jobs while learning what the foreman role entails and developing the skills to potentially take on that role in the future.Essential Duties:Ability to learn how to read and interpret Plans and SpecificationsMust be able to understand plans and assist in performing layout.Assist Foreman in scheduling and verifying correct manpower.Learn why correct manpower levels are important and how to evaluate necessary manpower.Effectively communicate with GC Project Superintendents and Management.Develop good relationships with GCs on-siteAttend meetings as scheduled by GC field personnelAssist in completing all required reports: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, IncidentBe a leader on the job.Be a presence and go-to person for Rock Spring employees.Ability to recognize and enforce quality controlManage completion of rolling completion lists and punch listsKeep the job clean and orderly. (trash, material, equipment, supplies, etc)Present yourself and Rock Spring in a professional mannerAbility to run jobs independentlyCompletion and closeout of jobsService jobsManage jobs with oversight from Sr Foreman or SuperintendentExhibit a commitment to safety.Work towards OSHA 30 certificationAttend Safety meetings as requiredEnforce safety with the entire teamEnsure all employees know the safety procedures of RSC and the GC customersHelp conduct safety training and toolbox talksReport all incidents as soon as possible to Rock Spring and GC Safety teamAssist in ordering and organizing materialHelp with field take-offs and material verifications.Receive deliveries and stage materialAssist Forman by completing paperwork as requestedVerfico, Sign in sheets, manpower trackerWriting tickets for work outside contractSafety formsOther Duties as assigned Essential Skills: Jr Foreman will exhibit the following skills that will lead to their ultimate success on the job.Tech Savvy, able to learn use of iPad and associated programsVerfico, Plangrid, Email, Safety, Various GC construction softwareBe a leader among your peersAbility to become proficient in speaking and writing in English and SpanishAbility to become excellent in Blueprint and Specification interpretationShow an ability to multi-task and prioritize work and various other tasks
