Job #: 148098 Title: Product Repair-Mod Tech C Location: NAS New Orleans Belle Chasse, LA Salary Range: 38.08 Position: Product Repair-Mod Tech Description: Perform aircraft maintenance, modification, inspection, troubleshooting, testing, and repair activities supporting military aircraft operations at NAS JRB New Orleans. The role focuses on aerospace vehicle systems maintenance, component repair, inspection compliance, aircraft operational checks, and maintenance documentation within a military aviation environment. Requirements: #Job Details *Manufacturing *F-18 *Contract - 12 Months *First Shift 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM *Must be a U.S. Citizen *Ability to obtain a Security Clearance *$38.08 - $50.99 / hour #Education & Job Requirements *Minimum of 5 years of experience in military fighter aircraft maintenance *Minimum of 1 year of experience in reading and interpreting technical publications and/or maintenance manuals *High School Diploma or GED and typically 4 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience *Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language #Preferred Skills *Must be able to work outdoors under all types of weather conditions (Humidity/High temperatures) with exposure to loud noise and exhaust fumes *F-18 (AM or AD) Qualifications *Prior experience with Navy 4790.2 requirements is preferred, applicable, and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution, and/or equivalent experience are required #Job Duties & Functions *Assemble, disassemble, and modify aerospace vehicle systems by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading components *Oversee assembly, disassembly, and overhaul operations *Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment *Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate and repair faults *Perform validation and verification testing of systems and components *Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance *Inspect components and verify repairs for flight-worthiness requirements *Oversee training activities *Perform end-of-runway, postflight, preflight, through-flight, and phase inspections *Perform coordinated combat turns and hot pit refuels *Advise on maintaining, servicing, and inspecting aircraft and related aerospace equipment *Use technical data to diagnose and resolve maintenance problems on aircraft systems *Interpret maintenance procedures and policies to repair aircraft and related equipment *Maintain aircraft structures, systems, components, and related equipment *Remove and install aircraft components *Conduct functional tests of repaired components and systems *Adjust, align, and rig aircraft systems *Supervise and perform aircraft jacking, lifting, and towing operations *Perform aircraft and component operational checks *Interpret inspection findings and determine adequacy of corrective actions *Inspect components for clearances, tolerances, proper installation, and operation *Inspect and operate powered and non-powered aerospace ground equipment *Inspect and identify aircraft corrosion for prevention and repair *Review maintenance forms, aircraft records, automated maintenance data systems, and historical reports to ensure complete documentation *Inventory and maintain aircraft equipment *Support onsite aircraft maintenance operations at NAS JRB New Orleans *Support possible international travel to U.S. military bases in Scotland, Greece, and Kuwait *Work overtime as needed #Physical Requirements & Environment *Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds *Work performed on a military installation *Exposure to loud noise and exhaust fumes *Outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including high temperatures and humidity #TeamGlobal Benefits *Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), and more! *TG Rewards Program *Employee Referral Program Job Type: Temporary Post Date: 05/13/2026
