This locum tenens position requires covering several in-house 24-hour call shifts per month, focusing on emergent cases such as hysterectomy, ectopic pregnancy, and delivery complications. Supported by a team of five midwives, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional women's health care within a dedicated Trauma Level 2 facility. Key Details Assignment Type: Locum Tenens Setting: Inpatient Start Date: ASAP Schedule: Varied 24-hour in-house call shifts Patient Population: Adult Location: Richland, WA Stipends: Housing and travel options can be discussed for non-local candidates Benefits Weekly direct deposit Malpractice insurance with tail coverage Supportive credentialing assistance Lodging and mileage reimbursement (if applicable) Flexible scheduling Job Responsibilities Provide comprehensive obstetric care during 24-hour call shifts Manage emergent cases in collaboration with hospital emergency departments Perform obstetric surgeries and complicated deliveries as required Interpret FHR (Fetal Heart Rate), perform OB ultrasounds and manage both low and high risk pregnancies Collaborate with midwives and healthcare team Qualifications Board Certified in Obstetrics Current BLS certification Skilled in managing both routine and high-risk obstetric cases Proficient in surgical gynecology and complicated deliveries Working Hours Flexible 24-hour call shifts as scheduled Skills Expertise in low and high-risk pregnancy management Proficient in FHR interpretation and OB ultrasound Competence in routine and complex deliveries, including VBAC, C-section, and multiple births Strong decision-making skills for surgical procedures and emergency situations
