Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician (Locums) Near Defiance, OH ASAP - Ongoing Job ID: j-236876 We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician for a locum tenens opportunity at our outpatient clinic located within a hospital near Defiance, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity to provide specialized care to high-risk pregnant women while enjoying the flexibility of locum tenens work. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of maternal and fetal complications, exceptional diagnostic and clinical skills, and a patient-centered approach to care. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive MFM services, including specialized ultrasounds, genetic counseling, and management of high-risk pregnancies. Job Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized care plans. Perform a variety of specialized ultrasound procedures to assess fetal well-being and diagnose potential complications. Provide genetic counseling to patients facing complex pregnancy decisions. Manage high-risk pregnancies, including those with pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, multiple gestations, and fetal anomalies. Collaborate with other healthcare providers, such as obstetricians, neonatologists, and pediatricians, to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Practice Details: Outpatient clinic setting within a hospital environment. Minimal after-hours call responsibilities. Busy practice with an average of 40 ultrasounds and 5 consultations per day. Flexibility to adjust patient schedules as needed. Sole MFM physician in the practice during the locum tenens coverage period. Onsite laboratory and ultrasound services available for your convenience. Level III nursery on-site for advanced neonatal care. Utilize the EPIC/AS Ultrasound Software for efficient documentation. Located within a Level I trauma center. Requirements: Board Certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine. Active or ability to obtain Ohio medical license. Current BLS certification. AIUM Ultrasound Certification. Proven expertise in specialized ultrasounds, genetic counseling, and management of high-risk pregnancies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
