General Labor and Maintenance Technician

Job DescriptionLamers Bus Lines is hiring a dependable and detail-oriented General Laborer / Maintenance Technician to support our school bus and motorcoach fleet. This is a part-time, entry-level role ideal for someone interested in vehicle maintenance, diesel mechanics, or hands-on mechanical work. Hours are Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. with additional hours available for driving charter trips as needed.If you’re someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in doing the job right, and wants to build practical skills in fleet maintenance; this is a strong starting point with room to grow.What You’ll DoPerform preventative maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes and tire rotationsAssist with basic diesel and fleet maintenance tasksComplete general building and facility upkeepHandle grounds maintenance, including lawn care and snow removalClean and maintain bus and motorcoach interiors and exteriors Train to obtain a CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with passenger, school bus, and air brake endorsements (company training provided) Provide driving support as needed What We’re Looking ForStrong work ethic and ability to work independentlyAttention to detail and willingness to learnInterest in mechanical work, maintenance, or diesel technology Willingness to perform physical tasks in a variety of weather conditions Why Join Us?At Lamers Bus Lines, you’re more than just an employee—you’re part of a company with deep community roots.
