Director of Operations
Estimating: Key Duties:Review and analyze project documents and drawings to determine the scope of work.Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and overheads.Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.Develop and maintain historical cost data for future reference.Ensure all estimates are completed within specified deadlines and in accordance with projectrequirements.Build out budgets for projects to take over to Pre-construction and help make the project managerssuccessful in completing the project. Business Development: Description: Manage relationships with new and existing clients to drive business growth and maintain highlevels of client satisfaction. Key Duties:Identify and pursue new business opportunities and potential clients.Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.Address client concerns and ensure their needs are met effectively.Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business expansion. Accounting and Financial Management: Description: Oversee the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in allaccounting practices. Key Duties:Train and supervise new hires in the accounting department.Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payments.Manage accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and collections.Monitor cash flow and manage bank accounts and credit cards.Manage compliance with insurance requirements and manage insurance policies.Manage compliance on projects through proper public works paperwork and certified payroll. Human Resources: Description: Oversee employee development and manage HR functions to support the company’s staffingneeds. Key Duties:Track employee performance and development, providing feedback and support.Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of new employees.Ensure HR policies and procedures are up-to-date and in compliance with regulations. Project Management: Description: Support project managers in guiding projects to successful completion, particularly in the publicworks and PG&E sectors. Key Duties:Provide guidance and support to project managers on project execution and problem-solving.Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Coordinate with stakeholders and facilitate communication between project teams. Power Generation and Renewable Energy Projects: Description: Manage and support projects related to power generation and renewable energy. Key Duties:Analyze project criteria and requirements for power generation and renewable energy projects.Assist in the preparation of financial packages and project proposals.Communicate project information effectively to clients and stakeholders. Field Management: Description: Oversee field operations to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently. Key Duties:Monitor field staff performance and project progress.Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.Provide guidance and support to field teams to resolve any issues that arise. Business Planning: Description: Work with the Owner of MBS to identify growth opportunities and financial planning for thecompany. Key Duties:Monitor job costing and spending.Build Projections for future work and backlog reports as well as project costs and cash flow.Identify different means of improving profit long term through equipment purchases, developingscopes that can be self-performed, or finding material suppliers that may be at an improved cost orefficiency.E04JI8007h9a406tuqy
