Production Controller (USC Only)

Job Title: Production ControllerPay Rate: $25/HRDuration: 6 monthsLocation: Oxnard, CA (Onsite) (A 3-week training program that will be held during the 1st shift)Work Shift : 1st Shift (9/80A)Note: May require Weekend support on a notice basisWe are looking for a Production Controller to support our Mission Enabling Products – Inventory Control DepartmentMaintains schedules for material requirements and availability to support production control for the manufacture of industrial and commercial products.Compiles records concerning quantity, cost, and type of material received, shipped, in stock or inventory, and/or in production.Expedites the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments by production and shipping schedules.Assists in determining possible and actual shortages and may initiate action to correct these deficiencies.Uses knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering departments to alert the proper authorities regarding potential problems and appropriate remedial action.Estimates and logs of production rate and time expenditures may be required to establish the sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates.Requirements:Expedites the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments by production and shipping schedulesAssists in determining possible and actual shortages and may initiate action to correct these deficiencies. Used knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering departments to alert the proper authoritiesDay shift position 9/80 scheduleHigh school diploma or equivalent and 0 years additional education and or related experienceExperience with inventory operations within an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)/(Deltek Costpoint) system and Microsoft applicationsMinimum of 1 year of materials and production control experienceCapable of using a forklift and other inventory-related equipmentMay require off Friday and Weekend support on a notice basisPreferred Qualifications:Ability to work effectively in a team environmentPrefer experience with KitingLiaising between manufacturing and inventoryExcellent verbal and written communication
